What If General Motors Sold Computers?

Here are some answers to that question, as found on the Internet:

- A lot of hoopla would accompany the introduction of each year's new models even though they would be pretty much the same as the previous year's.

- When a computer crashed it would bounce across the room out of control, destroying three other computers in the process.

- Upon discovering a defect, GM would spend four years denying there was problem rather than ship an upgrade disk.

- Chevrolet, Pontiac, Buick, and Olds dealers would all sell the same computers.

- Every computer available in 1996 would have much the same capacity and same performance, but would cost twice as much as the computer you could have bought in 1986.

- Right after the salesman finishes telling you how reliable your new computer will be, you will be pressured to buy an extended computer warranty.
